Soul Jar

What is Soul Jar?
The soul jar is called the “barn jar”, also known as the “pile pot”. It evolved from the Wulian jar of the Han Dynasty, and is a common funerary ceramics in the tombs of the Three Kingdoms and the Western Jin Dynasty in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China, and a large number of soul bottles were also unearthed in the Song Dynasty. The soul jar has different types of vessels and a variety of carcasses, often using the Rui beast as a button, with ornamented lotus petal patterns, honeysuckle patterns, echo patterns, etc. The shapes of soul jar of different eras also have special characteristics of the times and have high collection value.
